Invoice Scanner is designed with a local-first architecture. All invoice data, company profiles, scanned images and calculated VAT amounts are stored exclusively on your device using Android Room (SQLite) in the app’s protected internal storage. Phone OCR recognition is powered by Google ML Kit, which runs entirely on-device without any network connection.

When you explicitly tap “AI Recognize” or “Improve Recognition with AI”, the captured image (resized to max 1600px) is transmitted over TLS/HTTPS to one or both of the following providers:

• Google Gemini API (Google LLC) — processes the image and returns structured invoice data.
• Anthropic Claude API (Anthropic PBC) — processes the image and returns structured invoice data.

The image is sent solely for OCR extraction and is not stored by the providers beyond the duration of the API call. This feature is always opt-in; it is never triggered automatically.

• CAMERA — used exclusively to photograph invoices and receipts. No background access.
• INTERNET — required for Google Play Billing (subscription verification) and, when explicitly requested, for Cloud AI recognition.
• Storage — accessed via Android Storage Access Framework for PDF import. The app does not request broad file-system permissions.

All in-app purchases and subscriptions are processed exclusively through Google Play Billing. The developer never receives, processes or stores your payment card details.

This website may use Google Analytics (Google LLC) to collect anonymous, aggregated statistics (pages visited, session duration, country). Analytics cookies are loaded only after you give explicit consent via the cookie banner. The mobile app does not include any analytics or tracking SDKs.

We do not sell, rent or trade your data. Data is shared only with the Cloud AI providers listed in Section 3, and only when you explicitly request AI recognition.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) and UK GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, data portability and object to processing of your personal data.

Because all invoice data resides on your device, you can exercise most rights directly: delete individual invoices, clear company data, or uninstall the app to remove all local data.

To request deletion of any data you may have sent to us by email, or to exercise any other right, send an email to drv.developer@gmail.com with the subject line “Data Deletion Request”. We will respond within 30 calendar days.

Invoice Scanner is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date.
